Q&A with Srini Bangalore, Founder & Chief Client Officer

Q: How will CaseTeam be distinctive to clients?

A: CaseTeam integrates advanced genAI with human ingenuity, intuition, and deep expertise to tackle complex client challenges with precision, speed, and efficiency to deliver unrivaled outcomes. We have built our proprietary Prism problem-solving suite to help deliver a higher return on invested fees (ROIF). The currency we offer clients is higher value and deeper trust.

Q: Why do we need one more management consulting firm when we have thousands of consulting companies?

A: Even with thousands of consulting companies, new firms have plenty of room to offer clients a better value proposition. This is a highly fragmented profession with a few large firms, some medium-sized firms, and countless small firms. However, the more important reason is the unprecedented opportunity to disrupt incumbent models with genAI, hybrid work, collaborative technologies, and elastic infrastructure. CaseTeam is one of the world’s first genAI-native and hybrid-first firms to innovate a new model that makes top-tier problem-solving accessible to more organizations.

Q: Why start CaseTeam now?

A: Our world has experienced more disruption in the last ten years than at any other time in living memory – open talent models, cloud infrastructure, pandemic-induced hybrid work models, and genAI. As I said earlier, this disruption has opened a window of opportunities, and we had to seize the moment.

GenAI is this powerful new engine unlike any other we have seen. You can take this powerful engine and retrofit it into a classic car. You gain performance, but the car's fundamental design might limit its full potential. Or you could build a new race car from the ground up, designed to take full advantage of the new engine. This allows for greater speed, agility, and overall performance. CASETEAM is designed from the ground up to be that new race car.

Q: How will you apply lessons learned over your career to shape CaseTeam?

A: It’s simple – take the best and most enduring principles and practices and amplify them; take the worst and most unacceptable behaviors and practices and eliminate or dampen them.

Q: What is the story behind the name CASETEAM?

A: In business school, I loved cases and case competitions and working with my teams to solve those cases. That love never waned. I wanted to call my new firm something that harkened back to those days, but I wanted a name that would also be straightforward. While I indeed considered clever, invented, and Greek and Latin names, I kept returning to the basics – teams that solve cases – a name that people would easily understand, remember, and repeat. It was also important for the name to be eight letters or less so that the web and email addresses could be short.
